According to the Center for Disease Control,  intellectual disabilities  are believed to affect six out of every one hundred , and one in ten families, living in the United States. It is The Arc's goal to help the estimated 7,900 plus individuals with I/DD who reside in Calhoun and Cleburne Counties live, work and play to the best of his/her ability through our various support services. These services include  supports for families, advocacy,  and community resource development, training and recreation, Special Olympics and the educational program, The Kids on the Block.
